The Cow Flew Over the Moon is a short narratively driven game created as an experiment into story progression through level and mechanic design. I was the only developer on this project, designing and programming the core gameplay mechanics of interation aswell as scripting the entire game. Likewise I created all of the art assets for the game and designed the levels to suit. The game was created in the Unity game engine and writtin in C#.

Radical Squad is a game I created for my honours project during the last year of my study. The rough concept of the game is to put players in the shoes of a bomb disposal expert, trapped on a speeding train rigged with explosives. Drawing inspriation from action films such as Die Hard and Speed, RadSquad is tense and fun, designed for the Android tablet working with full touch screen support. Additionally with this project I was the only designer, programmer and artist.

HitVan is a short 48 hour jam game created with 2 friends of mine. I worked as a designer and artist on this project, working on the early concpets and mechancis and pushing the games style during development. Since completing the jam, we are working on a playable build of the game for distribution which will be released soon.

Greater Good

Greater Good is a game I designed during my last year of study. The basic concept focuses on social and moral dilemmas Governments face during times of crisis and panic, attempting to replicate these issues through gameplay to drive an emotive response from the player. I created a 30 page GDD and concept doc for this project, as well as a large selection of visual mock-ups to infer gameplay and describe mechanics clearly and concisely.

Spin Doctor is a puzzle/action based 2D Adventure game, set within a Victorian world with steampunk elements. Spin Doctor has been coded in C# and compiled in Microsoft’s XNA engine. Players will take control of Harland Shears, following him on an adventure through a hellish maze of steam-powered puzzles and obstacles in a quest for freedom. For this project I worked as a lead designer and producer as well as contributed heavily to the art disciplines creating and animating the lead character.

The Last Faun is a companion based adventure game attempting to create an enjoyable experience between the player and the computer controlled AI companion. Using an innovative control system and striking cartoon visuals TLF tells a short but engaging story between a boy and his Faun. During this project I worked with a team of 4 as the lead conceptual and level designer. Additionally I created various art assets for the game including designing creating and animating the two lead characters.
